Mrs. William Omsby Dies At Home on East Third Street
Mrs. Sarah Elizabeth Omsby, 75 wife of William Omsby, died at 2:30 o"clock
Wednesday (24 May 1939) morning at her home, 739 East Third street. She had been an invalid for the past
three years. Funeral services will be held this afternoon at the residence,
followed by rites at the General Baptist church in Maunie, Ill., of which the deceased was a member. The
Rev. Frank Turner will be in charge of the rites and burial will be in the Dogtown Cemetery.
The near surviving relatives are the husband: two sons, Walter A. Johnson of Evansville and William H. Johnson of St. Louis: a daughter, Mrs. Stella Franks of Maunie, seven grandchildren: two great-grandchildren, and a
brother, J. C. Story of Mt. Vernon.
