PHILIP NIEMEIER
Phillip J. Niemeier, 60, prominent Marrs township resident and a welder at International Steel
Corp plant in Evansville for 11 years died suddenly at 3:15 p.m. Saturday
(5 Dec 1953) at his home in the
vicinity of Immanuel Evangelical and Reformed Church.
Mr. Niemeier spent Saturday morning in
The deceased belonged to an early Marrs
township family and was a devout member of St. Philip Catholic Church.
His parents were Atnone Niemeier
and Catherine Wolf Niemeier.
The body is at the Schenk & Pierre Funeral Home in

addition to the wife, nee Elizabeth Konrad, are two
sons, Harold and Robert, both of Evansville; three daughters, Mrs. Julius Weinzapfel, St. Philips, Mrs. Roy Gibson, Evansville, and
Miss Ruth Niemeier, at home; 12 grandchildren; two
brother, Ben and John, of the Mt. Vernon vicinity, and four sisters, Mrs. Anna
Lewis, Mrs. Margaret Kueber and Mrs. Roscoe Romunier, of Mt. Vernon and vicinity, and Mrs. Mary Muehlenbein Evansville.
