MOUNT VERNON - Alice (Lance) Newton, 79, died Dec. 2, 2006, at Deaconess Hospital.

She was a member of Mount Vernon Church of Christ.

Surviving are daughters; Michelle Creswell, Rebecca Shell and Debra Seaton, a son; David Wallis; three grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

Services 1 p.m. Thursday at Schneider Funeral Home, burial in Bellefontaine Cemetery. Visitation is 11 a.m. to service time. Memorial contributions may be made to the Mount Vernon Church of Christ.
