CORA BREEZE MURPHY

Mrs. Cora Breeze Murphy, 78, St. Louise, a native of Posey county and the widow of Henley Murphy died at 4:15 p.m. Monday (10 Jan 1955) at the Missouri Baptist Hospital in St. Louis.

The body will be brought to the Weisinger funeral Home in Mt. Vernon.  Funeral arrangements had not been completed this morning. (Burial was at Bellefontaine Cemetery.)

Mrs. Murphy was a daughter of James Breeze and Mary Barton Breeze, representatives of early local families.   She left her native Posey county for residence in St. Louis in 1910 following the death of her husband in 1909.

Surviving are two brothers, Simeon and Robert Breeze, of the Mt. Vernon community and two sisters, Mrs. Etna Buchanan, Mt. Vernon and Mrs. Mary Carringer, of near Mt. Vernon.
