EATHEL MACGREGOR MUNDELLE
Mrs. Eathel MacGregor
Mundelle, 69, former well-known Mt. Vernon resident, died shortly after 9 o'clock last night at her home in Indianapolis. She had been in ill health for a
number of years but her death came unexpectedly.
The deceased was born in Mt. Vernon, the daughter of William and Evelyn
Donaldson MacGregor, highly respected Mt. Vernon residents for many years.
For many years Mrs. Mundelle was a clerk
in the Mt. Vernon post office where her pleasant
disposition and accomodating service made many
friends. In 1921 she was transferred to the Indianapolis office and she had resided in that city
since that time.
She was a member of First Methodist Church in Mt. Vernon during her residence here but upon her
removal to Indianapolis she transferred her membership to Broadway Methodist Church in the capital city. She also was
a member of the Rebekah lodge in Indianapolis.
Her husband died five years ago and the only near surviving
relatives are cousins, including Carl Curtis and Miss Vera Curtis of Savah in Posey county, Charles MacGregor
and Mrs. Inez Boyer of Lexington, Ky; and Mrs. Anna
Kemper of Grayville, Illinois.
Following short services at the Flanner
& Buchanan Funeral Home in Indianapolis at 4 o'clock Monday afternoon the body will be
brought to the Short Funeral Home in Mt. Vernon. Funeral rites will be held at the
Short chapel here at 3 o’clock Wednesday afternoon in charge of Rev. J.
Kenneth Forbes, pastor of First Methodist Church. Burial will be in Bellefontaine
cemetery.
Friends may call
at the Short Funeral Home after 3 o'clock Tuesday afternoon.
