J PLATT MILLS

Jenison Platt Mills, a retired farmer and a life-long resident of Posey county who would have been 91 years old on the coming Nov. 3, died at 11:20 a.m. today at the home of his son, Raymond Mills 428 East Water street.

The deceased and his wife had resided with the son for several y ears.

Mr. Mills was born in the vicinity of Mt. Vernon, a son of R. J. Mills and Caroline Bush Mills, representatives of pioneer local families.

The body is at the Weisinger Funeral Home but arrangements were incomplete at noon. (Burial was in Bellefontaine Cemetery.)

Surviving in addition to the wife, the former Nettie Allyn, are two sons, Raymond and Ernest, both of Mt. Vernon; a daughter, Mrs. Edgar Emerine, Mt. Vernon; a step-daughter, Mrs. William Banks, Mt. Vernon; four grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren, and a sister, Mrs. Bertha Harbert, Mt. Vernon.
