MARTHA JANE MEREDITH

Mrs. Martha Jane Meredith, 78, widow of Isaiah Meredith and a former resident of Mt. Vernon, died at 5 a.m. Sunday (10 Jan 1956) at her home at 930 Walnut street in Evansville after a long illness.

The body is at Johann Funeral Home in Evansville where the funeral service will be conducted at 10 a.m. Tuesday.  Burial will follow in Bellefontaine cemetery at Mt. Vernon.

Surviving are a son, Aaron Meredith, Bastrop, La; three daughters, Mrs. Elmer Schroeder, Evansville, Mrs. Osary Hein, Mt. Vernon, and Mrs. Ella Maus, Spring Hill, La., and seven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.  Elmer Schroeder, a son-in-law is president of Lamasco Bank in Evansville.
