MARGARET STARKEY MCREYNOLDS

Mrs. Margaret Starkey McReynolds, 81, a native of Omaha, Ill., but a respected resident of Mt. Vernon since 1900, died at 1:35 p.m. Saturday (16 Apr 1955) at her home at 222 1⁄2 Main street.

Mrs. Mc Reynolds had been an invalid for seven years and had been critically ill for the last three weeks.

She and her daughters, Mrs. Neva Cross and Miss Helen McReynolds and the former's husband resided at the Main street address where Mrs. Mc Reynolds died.  Mrs. Cross is associated with her husband, Archie Cross in the ownership and operation of Dagger's Cafe.  The other daughter is an operater of Mt. Vernon exchange of Indiana Bell Telephone Co.

Also surviving are a son, Reese, Vincennes, Ind; three grandchildren and eight great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.

The body is at the Weisinger Funeral Home and will remain there through the funeral service set for 2 p.m. Tuesday in the Weisinger chapel.  Burial will be in Bellefontaine cemetery.  Rev. B. H. Cato, pastor of Calvary Bible Church, will be the official minister.

Mrs. Mc Reynolds was a member of the Presbyterian Church at Omaha, Ill.  She was the last of 12 children of David Starkey and Elizabeth Kinsol Starkey, of the Omaha community.
