MARGARET KEY McINTIRE

(October 13, 1921 - October 14, 2006)

Margaret Kay McIntire, beloved mother, grandmother & great-grandmother, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, October 14 at the age of 85.

She was a resident at the Mt. Vernon Nursing & Rehabilitation facility for the past three years.

Margaret was preceded in death by her daughter, Alice Ruth Brown, in July, 1994. She is survived by a son, Charles, and daughter (in-law) Nancy, McIntire of Mt. Vernon, and three grandchildren, Kevin McIntire and wife Leslie, of Grapevine, Texas, Shauna Meyer and husband David of Bellaire, Texas, and Aaron Brown and wife Jamie of Woodville, Ohio, and eight great-grandchildren, Lauren, Kaelen, & Luke McIntire, Alexandra & Elizabeth Meyer, and Malachi, Skyler & Shiloh Brown.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, October 17th from 4-7 pm at Austin Funeral Home in Mt. Vernon. Services will be held at 2 pm on Wednesday, October 18th at the funeral home followed by a burial service at Enfield, Illinois. Memorial contributions can be made to the First United Methodist Church in Mt. Vernon.
