Enoch W. (Nick) Mc Fadden, 87, picturesque life-long
resident of Posey county, former sheriff and a colorful and dynamic
figure in public life and Democratic politics for many years died Thursday
afternoon at his home at 421 W.

Surviving are the wife, the former Flora Alexander whose marriage
to Mr. McFadden took place almost 58 years ago, and a sister, Mrs. Julius A.

The deceased would have reached 50 years of membership in Arctic
lodge No. 394 Free & Accepted Masons, New Harmony, the coming April 24.
He was a former member of
Ex-Sheriff Mc Fadden was a direct descendant of the McFaddin family that made the original settlement of

personality that won friends and an ardent devotion to principles of the
Democratic party made him a
