WILSON HENRY (POP) MATTINGLY
Wilson Henry (Pop) Mattingly, 71, Mt. Vernon, for the last 10
years associated with his wife in the operation of Friendly Cafe at 108 W.
Prior to his entrance into the restaurant business the deceased
was for a number of years an employee of Mt. Vernon Milling Co.
The body is at the Weisinger Funeral
Home and will remain there through the funeral service at
Rev. Harry Mattingly, a General Baptist minister of
Mt. Mattingly was a native of Union county,
The surviving wife, nee Mary Ann Nelson, and Mr. Mattingly had been married for 48 years.
Surviving, in
addition to the wife, are five sons, Arthur, Morganfield, Ky., and Henry,
William S., John D., and Wilson (Bill) Mt. Vernon; four daughters, Mrs. Eugene
Russell, Mrs. Rudy Utley and Mrs. Raymond Hawkins, Mt. Vernon and Mrs. Roland
Reynolds, Hammond, Ind; 32 grandchildren and three
great-grandchildren, and two brothers, William C. Mattingly, Uniontown, Ky and Walter Mattingly, Princeton, Ind.
