Kelly L. Matthew, 68, a Lynn township farmer and a native of Lynn, died at 3:10 a.m. Sunday (14 Oct 1956) at his home on R. R. 1, New Harmony.

He had been ill for 2 1/2 years and bedfast for the last nine weeks.

Parents of the deceased were Lyle Matthew and Grace Gregory Matthew.

The body is at Short-Niehaus Funeral Home where Rev. Arthur Blackburn a retired General Baptist minister, will conduct the funeral service at 2 p.m. Tuesday in Short-Niehaus chapel.  Burial will be in Old Beech cemetery in East Lynn.

Surviving are the wife, nee Nellie M. Hutchison; four stepchildren, Henry Wesley Roberts, Henderson, Ky., Mrs Philip Alldredge, Mt. Vernon, Mrs Ethel Gross, Oliver Station, and Roland W. Roberts, Appleton, Wis., and a brother, Jesse Matthew, R.R. 1, New Harmony.

The deceased was a member of Posey Aerie, N. 1717 Fraternal Order of Eagles.
