EMMA KLENCK KOERNER

Mrs. Emma Klenck Koerner, 79, widow of George Koerner, died at
6:30 p.m. Thursday (7 Oct 1954) in an Evansville hospital where she had been a patient for the last 24 years.  Carcinoma was the cause of death.

Mr. Koerner, the husband, a carpenter employed for many years by Keck-Gonnerman Co., died in 1935.

The body of Mrs. Koerner has been brought to the Short-Niehaus Funeral Home in
Mt. Vernon and friends are invited to call there following noon Saturday.

The funeral service will be conducted in the Short-Niehaus chapel at
2 p.m. Monday.  Rev. August E. Binder, pastor of Trinity Evangelical and Reformer Church of which the deceased was a member for many years, will officiate.  Burial will be in Bellefontaine cemetery.

The deceased was a native of Robinson township but came to
Mt. Vernon for residence as a girl.

Surviving are a son, Alvin G. Koerner, a linotype operator employed by the Wabash Plain Dealer and Times-State, Wabash, In; two grandchildren and on great-grandchild and a half brother, Phillip Klenck.
