She had been a member of
Martha worked at Republic as a riveter during WWII,
She loved her garden, growing her tomatoes and green beans and took pride in
canning them and sharing with others. Martha also enjoyed making quilts and
giving them to friends and family, which included making one for each of the
great-grandchildren. The last she finished one week prior to her stroke on her
87th birthday.
Martha loved being with friends and family and enjoyed cooking for everyone,
especially making fudge and candy at Christmas time. She will truly be missed
by those lives she touched through her lifetime.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Otis, in 1989; son, Jerry, in 1997;
infant grandson, Larry, in 1964; and two sisters, Mabel Howell and Myrtle
Pinkston.
Martha is survived by her daughter, Marie of Evansville with whom she lived;
son, Terry and wife, Rhonda of Evansville; daughter-in-law, Geneva Love of
Evansville; grandchildren, Sharon Renee and Missy Love of Evansville, Brian Belangee and wife, Ali of Muncie, Ind.; and Jenny Dodd and
husband, Eric of Evansville; great-grandchildren, Caden
Love, Gavin, Hope, Chantz, and Karley
Dodd of Evansville, and Kennedy, Grace, Luke Belangee
of Muncie; brothers-in-law, Luther "Hoot" Love and Homer
"Pete" Love and wife, Wanda of Evansville; sister-in-law, Stella
Decker of Calhoun, Ky.; and several nieces and nephews.
