Mrs. Anna Harp Hostetler, 80, widow of Willis B. Hostetler and a
member of a well know south Posey county family, died at 12;25
a.m. today in
Mr. Hostetler died in December, 1941. For the last 15
years Mrs. Hostetler had resided with her daughter, Mrs. Wesley B. Seifert and
Mr. Seifert on R. R. 1,
The body is at Short-Niehaus Funeral
Home in Mt. Vernon and will remain there through the funeral service set for 10
a.m. Monday in Short-Niehaus chapel. Burial
will be in Park Lawn cemetery at
The officiating minister will be Rev. Hubert R. Hoke, minister of
Mrs. Hostetler's parents were John Harp and Nora David Harp..
Forty-six direct lineal descendants survive.
Survivors
include six sons, John Burlison, St. Louis, by a
former marriage, and Chester Hostetler, Indianapolis; Cecil Hostetler, Miami, Fla; Winston B. Hostetler, Mt. Vernon, and Earl and Robert
Hostetler, Evansville; two daughters, Mrs. Susan Thompson, Mt Vernon and Mrs.
Seifert, R. R. 1,; 23 grandchildren and 25 great grandchildren; three sisters,
Mrs. Elmo Dunn, Mt. Vernon and Mrs. Lila Kueber and
Mrs. Ona Chesebro,
Evansville, and two brothers, George Harp, R. R. 1 and Frank Harp, Elkhart, Ind.
