Fred W. Hahn, 78, a well known retired Marrs township farmer, died at 7:45 p.m. Monday (19 Sep 1955) at the Deaconess Hospital in Evansville.

He had been ill for several weeks and a patient in the hospital since Saturday.

The deceased was a life-long resident of Marrs township and a member of Immanuel Evangelical and Reformed Church of Marrs.  His wife, nee Johanna Jourdan, died in 1945.  The parents of the late deceased were Adam Hahn and Annie Rettig Hahn.

The body is at the Short-Niehaus Funeral Home and will remain there through the funeral service set for 2 p.m. Thursday in the Short-Niehaus chapel.  Burial will be in the Immanuel Church cemetery.  Rev. Theodore M. Haefele, Immanuel Church pastor, will conduct the services.

Nieces, nephews and cousins are the nearest surviving relatives.
