ELLA K GREEN

Illness of a complication of diseases that had hospitalized her for four months was fatal to Mrs. Ella K. Green, 84, of 214 East Third street, at 11:30 o'clock last night.

Death came to her in Kueber's Nursing Home in Evansville which she entered from Deaconess Hospital in Evansville early in September. (Burial was in Bellefontaine Cemetery.)

Mrs. Green was the widow of George S. Green, Posey county Democratic leader, former county auditor and a distinguished member and officer of Mt. Vernon lodge of Elks and the Grand Lodge, who died in 1948.

Born in Evansville, a daughter of Isaac Kahn, the late deceased came to Mt. Vernon as a girl and had resided here since.  Her marriage to George S. Green took place on Sep. 9, 1900.

Devoted to her home and husband, she played a major role in his very successful public and fraternal career.
