Albert C. Gerth, 65,
A heart condition extending over a period of several years was
climaxed by Mr. Gerth's removal to the hospital
from his home at
Failing health had forced his retirement from public service and
the termination of 40 years employment as a molder by the former Keck-Gonnerman Co.
He continued to be an honorary fireman of the Mt. Vernon Fire
Department.
The body is at Weisinger Funeral Home
and will remain there until it is taken to St. Matthew's Catholic Church for
Requiem High Mass at
Mr. Gerth's wife, nee Nellie Reed, died
three years ago.
He is survived by four sons, Albert E., Cincinnati, twins, Wiliam and Willard, Mt. Vernon, and Charles, Indianapolis;
two daughters, Mrs Edward Vollmer, R. r. 4 and Mrs.
Marshall Paris, Sturgis, Ky;15 grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Margaret Leingang, Detroit and Mrs. James P. Smith R. R. Newburgh,
In., and a half brother, William Gerth, Evansville.
The deceased was a member of Knights of St. John and Posey aerie,
No. 1717 Fraternal Order of Eagles. In his younger years he was a member
