New Harmony, In. (Special) Funeral services will be conducted
Saturday for Edwin C. Ford, 76, a scion of one of Posey county's most prominent
families, who died about 1 p.m. yesterday while eating noon luncheon in a Shawneetown, Ill., restaurant.
The body will be moved late today from Shoultz-Werry
Funeral Home to the family residence where Mr. Ford and his son in law and
daughter Mr. and Mrs. L. H. Stallings, resided. It will remain at the
family residence until it is taken to
Rev. S. E. Morgan, Johnson Memorial Methodist church pastor, will
conduct the church service and burial rites at the grave in Maple Hill
cemetery.
Surviving are a son, George B. Ford; two daughters, Mrs. L. H.
Stallings, and Mrs. E. Ivan Stallings, and eight grandchildren, all of new Harmony. Mr. Ford's wife, nee Pansy Storton of Evansville, died in 1942.

and he had been critically ill at intervals during that period.
He and a friend and companion, Welzie Johnson, left New Harmony
yesterday morning and welt to Illinois where Mr. Ford transacted
