William Felty, 27, of
523 West Water street, a construction worker who had been an invalid for two years as the result of arthritis, died at 7:30 p.m. Sunday (1 Mar 1953) at St. Mary's Hospital in Evansville.  He had been acutely ill only for a day and a half and death may have resulted from a ruptured stomach ulcer, the attending physician said.

The body is at the Weisinger funeral Home and will remain there through the funeral service set for
2 p.m. Wednesday in the Weisinger chapel.  Burial will be in Black cemetery, west of Mt. Vernon.  Officiating clergyman will be Rev. Frank N. Turner and Rev. Paul Turner.

The deceased was a native of
Morganfield, Ky.  He was unmarried.

He is survived by his parents, Proctor J Felty and Mary Pearl Greenwell Felty, Mt. Vernon, four sisters, Mrs Carl Topper, R.R. 5 and Mrs. Carl Topper, R. R. 5, and Charlotte Ann Felty, Carolyn Dianne Felty and Rita Sharon Felty, at home; four brothers, Royce C; James Marion, Hugh Gerald and Dorris Alvin, at home, and the maternal grandmother Mrs. William H. Jamerson, Mt. Vernon.
