ELIZABETH K NEU ESCHE

 

April 14, 1954

Mrs. Elizabeth K. Neu Esche, 2, widow of Louis Esche and a prominent resident of Posey county, died at 11:30 o'clock last night at the home of her daughter.  Mrs. Jesse Tennison, in Marrs township north of Caborn where she resided.

 

Her husband a well-known farmer, died in 1944.

 

The late deceased was a devout member of St. John's Methodist Church at Caborn and was affiliated with the St. John's Woman's Society of Christian Service.

 

The body is at the Short-Niehaus Funeral Home.  It will remain there through a short service prior to removal to St. John's Church for the funeral service at 2:30 p.m. Friday.  Officiating clergymen will be Rev. Millard Brittingham, St. John's Church minister, and Rev. W. a. Skelton, Evansville, a former St. John's pastor.  Burial will be in the church cemetery.

 

Surviving in addition to the daughter, Mrs. Tennison are another daughter, Mrs. Selma Schroeder RR2; a son Fred E. Esche, R. R. 2; five grandchildren and six great grandchildren, four brothers Henry Neu, Wadesville, Philip Neu, R. R. ?, Mt. Vernon and John and William Neu both of R. R. 13, Evansville and three sisters Mrs. Mary Doerr, Mrs. Tillie Klinger and Mrs. Ida Hardy, all of Evansville.  A son, Albert Esche, died in 1948.  

 

The deceased was a daughter of Philip Neu and Mary Zeilner Neu.
