CHARLES LEMUEL (QUEENIE) CURTIS

Charles Lemuel (Queenie) Curtis 65, East St. Louis, Ill., a native of Western Black township but a railroader for more  than 30 years, was a traffic fatality in St. Louis late last week (31 Mar 1957), relatives in Posey county have been advised.

Funeral services were conducted yesterday. (Burial was in Vahalla Cemetery, St. Louis, St. Louis County, Missouri.)

According to information received locally, Curtis was hit by an auto as he walked across the street after parking his auto and while he was still lying in the street was run over by a second auto.
