Henry Crowder, 76, well known Mt. Vernon resident, was found dead at his home, 618 W. Sixth street early last night. He had been ill
for some time and Mr. Vernon Police Department received a call at 7:24 o'clock regarding the finding of the body.
It is presumed Mt. Crowder's death took place yesterday morning.
He had been under a doctor's care for some time.
The only near surviving relative is a sister, Mrs. Ella Cooper,
Evansville, former resident of Mt. Vernon, and a number of nieces and nephews.
The body is at the Short-Niehaus Funeral
Home and will remain there until the time of the funeral at 3 o'clock Monday afternoon in the Short-Niehaus chapel. Burial will be in Bellefontaine
cemetery.
