Charles E. Cox, 75, a well known retired farmer, died unexpectedly
this morning at his home at 417 E Tenth street. He had been acutely ill
for several days of a coronary condition but death was sudden.
A native of the Oliver vicinity in Center township,
the deceased spent his active years in that locality, moving to
He was a member of a prominent Posey county family, the son of
Absalom Cox and Nancy Jane Allison Cox.
The body is at the Short-Niehaus Funeral

and Raymond Cox, Mt. Vernon; 21 grandchildren and seven great grandchildren; a
sister, Mrs. Andrew Highman, Mt. Vernon and a
brother, Joe Cox, Fillmore, Calif.
