FRANCES E BUCHANAN

Mrs. Frances E Buchanan, widow of George Buchanan and a former resident died recently in Austin Texas, where she resided with a daughter, Mrs. Zella Koch, a sister, Mrs. Bertha Harbert, Mt. Vernon has been advised.  Mrs. Buchanan would have observed her 87th birthday had she lived until Christmas Day.

Funeral rites and burial were at Austin.

The deceased had resided away from Mt. Vernon for a number of years.  She was a member of a prominent local family a daughter of Romella Mills and Caroline bush Mills.

Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Koch, Austin, Tex and Mrs. Grace York, East St. Louis, Ill., the sister, Mrs. Harbert Mt. Vernon and two brothers Platt Mills, Mt. Vernon and Romelia Mills, Evansville.
