Death comes to Mt. Vernon Lady
Mrs. Nellie Smith Brissel, 80, member of
a prominent Mt. Vernon family and the widow of William Brissel
died at 11:30 o'clock last night at her home at 1111 West Second street after
illness of 19 years that had made her condition criitical
for the last five weeks.
Mr Brissell the husband who died in
1918 engaged in freight transportation in
The body is at the Short Niehaus Funeral
Home and will remain in there through the funeral service which will be
conducted at
Rev Robert W. Allison minister of First Christian Church of which
the deceased was a member, will be the officiating clergyman.
Surviving are two daughters, Mrs Howard
Hamilton, Fort Branch, Ind; and Mrs
Carl Wheat, Mt. Vernon; on grandchild, Mrs. Leroy Sherreta,
Fort Branch; three brothers, Dr. S. P. Smith, Montgomery, Al; Richard F Smith,
Mt. Vernon; and Thomas D Smith, Mt. Vernon and two sisters, Mrs. Edward Mischkek Springfield, Tenn;
and Mrs. Ralph Curtis, R. R. 5 Mt. Veron.
