WILLIAM B BREINER

William V Breiner, 63, a member of a prominent South Posey county farm family and a life-long resident of the same farm north of Mt. Vernon, died at 4:30 a.m. today at St. Mary's Hospital in Evansville.

 

A complication of diseases proved fatal after illness of several years.

 

The body has been brought to the Short- Niehaus Funeral Home in Mt. Vernon and will remain there until it is taken to St. Matthew's Catholic Church where Requiem High Mass will be conducted at 8:15 a.m. Thuesday by Father B. Smith, pastor.  Burial will be in the church cemetery.

 

Mr. Breiner was a World War I veteran and Owen Dunn post, No. 5, American Legion, of which he was a member will conduct a service at the grave.

 

Friends are invited to call at the funeral home after Tuesday noon.

 

Surviving are the wife, nee Frieda Schroeder; a son, William Breiner of the Breiner & Uhde Implement Co., Poseyville, who was born to the late deceased's first marriage to the former Mary Ridenour who died at the son's birth; two granddaughters; a sister, Mrs. Anna Martin, Marine City, Mich; and two brothers, Joseph W. Breiner and John A Breiner, Mt. Vernon.

 

The parents of the deceased were Antoine Breiner and Carrie Deig Breiner and the father was a native of Germany.
