Mrs. Mary Ellen Bowen, 43, sister of Calvin Davis and half-sister of Bobby Joe Grubb, both of Princeton, died Tuesday (3 Jul 1963) at 2:15 at the St. Mary's Hospital following a year and a half of illness.

She had lived in Evansville for 10 years moving here from Princeton.  She attended Washington Avenue Baptist Church.

Other survivors are the widower, Arthur O. Bowen, an employee of St. Mary's Hospital; one step-daughter, Mrs. Doris Jean Getz; one step-son Arthur Lee Bowen, both of Evansville; another brother, Charles F. Davis, stationed with the United States Army at Fort Polk, La; five step-grandchildren.

Friends may call at Kriekhaus-Samson Funeral Home today. (Burial at Locust Hill Cemetery in Evansville, Indiana.)
