Mrs. Anna Blesch, widow of Henry Blesch and a resident of 629 East Third street, died early this afternoon (15 Apr 1957) at St. Mary's Hospital in Evansville. She was a devout member of First Methodist Church.
Mrs. Blesch entered the hospital
yesterday for diagnosis of a heart condition (which) resulted in her unexpected death.
The body is being brought to Short-Niehaus
Funeral Home in Mt. Vernon.
Funeral services for Mrs. Anna Elizabeth Blesch,
71, of 629 E. Third street, will be conducted Thursday afternoon.
Mrs. Blesch, an active devout member of First Methodist Church and the widow of Henry Blesch, who died 21 years ago, died unexpectedly early
Monday afternoon at St. Mary's Hospital in Evansville. A heart condition was fatal.
Mrs. Blesch had entered the hospital Sunday for
diagnosis of a brief illness.
Rev. J. Kenneth Forbes, minister of First Methodist Church, will conduct the funeral service at 2 p.m. Thursday in Short-Niehaus
Funeral Home chapel. Burial will be in Bellefontaine cemetery.
Friends may call at the funeral home after 6 o'clock this evening.
In addition to membership in First Methodist Church, Mrs. Blesch
was active in the Woman's Society of Christian Service of the church.
The deceased was a native of McLeansboro, Ill., the daughter of John Huffstutler and Mary Capps Huffstutler.
She had resided in the Mt. Vernon community for 50 years.
A daughter, Mary, who resided with her mother, is the only near
surviving relative.
