ELMER RYAN BISHOP

Elmer R. Bishop, 67, a retired boiler-maker helper at the Southern Railway, died at his home at 1121 south Prince street at about 1:20 o'clock Saturday afternoon following an illness of nearly 15 months.

Surviving are the wife, Mattie Grubb Bishop; two daughters, Mrs. Lowell Catt, of Mishawaka, and Mrs. Dawson Lewis of Princeton; two son, Leonard Bishop of Patoka, and Harold Bishop of South Bend; one step-daughter, Mrs. Paul Jines of Evansville; one step-son Earl Darnell of Long Beach, Calif; and two brothers, Fred Bishop of Mt. Carmel and Arthur Bishop of Los Angeles.

Funeral services will be held at the Colvin and Son chapel on Tuesday morning at 10 o'clock with Rev. Roy Kinney officiating.  Burial will be in the I.O.O.F. cemetery.

Mr. Bishop was born in Lawrenceville, Ill., on April 3, 1885, and had resided in Princeton for the past 24 years, moving here from Patoka.

He was a member of the Brotherhood of Boilermakers and Helpers of America.

Mr. Bishop is at the Colvin and Son mortuary where friends may call after 5 o'clock Sunday afternoon.
