Mrs. Phoebe M. Birk, 48, Velpen died on Friday morning at Jasper-Memorial Hospital in Jasper.

Surviving are her mother, Mrs. Edith Abbott Willis of Petersburg; her husband, Woodrow T.; one daughter, Mrs. Sophia Price, and three sons, David Allen and Roger, all of Velpen; one sister, Mrs. Ies Catt, and three brothers, Lawrence, Matthew and Don Willis, all of Petersburg, and five grandchildren.

The funeral was conducted by the Rev. Father Schwank at 2 p.m. on Sunday at Harris Funeral Home, Petersburg, with burial in Pleasant Ridge Cemetery.
