Alfred L. Beste, 81, died at 9:30 a.m. Sunday (2 Dec 1984) at Deaconess Hospital in Evansville.

He was a retired farmer and a member of Calvary Baptist Church.

Surviving are three sons, Paul, Robert and Edward L., all of Mt. Vernon, Ind; a daughter, Wilma Duckworth of Mt. Vernon; two brothers, Fred and Edward of Mt. Vernon and two sisters, Mrs. Florence Rowe and Mrs. Mary Schmidt, both of Mt. Vernon; nine grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were Tuesday at Norvell funeral Home with burial in Bellefontaine.
