GEORGE D BELL

George D. Bell, 78, was killed when accidentally struck by a car about 1:45 Wednesday afternoon in Seelyville, a little town east of Terre Haute.

 

Mr. Bell, a retired carpenter, was born in Princeton on February 22, 1868, and had lived in Princeton all his life until the past nine months.  He was a member of the Broadway Christian church, the I.O.O.F. and the Carpenter's union.

 

Surviving are: a daughter, Mrs. Frank LaRoche, of Seelyville, with whom he was making his home at the time of his death; four sons, Robert and Walter of Princeton, George of Hialeah, Fla., and Charles of Evansville; one brother, E. James Bell, of Oakland City.

 

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday at the Broadway Christian church with Rev. C. A. Underwood conducting.  Burial will be in the Maple Hill cemetery.

 

The body will be at the Colvin Son funeral home where friends may call after 4 p.m. Friday.
