Craig Beeson's exceptional presence on earth was dimmed by his
death on March 4, 2007.
As president of Beeson Oil, Inc., Craig was a major oil producer
in the Illinois Basin (Indiana, Illinois, and Kentucky). Petroleum exploration and production
have been a family tradition beginning with the oil finds initiated by his
father, Richard W. Beeson, in the 70s. Since he was 10 years old, Craig
literally accompanied his father through every phase of the business. Recently
Craig (33) was joined by geologist and petroleum engineer, Charlie White (92)
in the exploration of new prospects. He was just nominated as Wildcatter of the
Year (2006) by the Illinois Oil and Gas Association. An Evansville native, Craig attended the University of Southern Indiana and held memberships in the Illinois Oil
and Gas Association and Indiana Oil and Gas Association.
Craig was predeceased by his father, Richard W. Beeson, in 2002.
He is survived by his mother, Susann
Beeson, and his brother, Jay Hamilton Beeson, both of Evansville; a son, Tyler Conrad Beeson of Mount Vernon, Ind.; and a companion, Jen Wood.
He was an inventor by nature and a naturalist by heart.
In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the Evansville
Zoological Society.
Visitation will be 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday, March 8, 2007, with a
short memorial service following at Ziemer Funeral
Home East Chapel, 800 South Hebron Ave. Condolences can be made online to the …
