Melvin "Pete" Becker, 75, Wadesville, died at 9:07 a.m. Thursday, Jan 8, 1987, at Deaconess Hospital in Evansville.

Becker was a Little League Baseball coach and operated a service station in Wadesville for a number of years.

Surviving are his wife, Jean; a daughter, Carol Carter of Jeffersonville; three sons, Jack of Jasper, Gary of Schenectady, N.Y., and Timothy of Evansville; a sister, Velma Morrow of Wadesville; a brother, Wilfred of Evansville; seven grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, two step-grandchildren and a step-great grandchild.

Services were Saturday at St. Francis Catholic Church in Poseyville, with burial in the church cemetery.
