MARY L. BASS

Mrs. Mary L. Bass, age 53, wife of Dr. H. L. Bass of Grayville, Ill., and a former resident of Ft. Branch, died at 11 o'clock Tuesday night at the Welborn-Walker hospital in Evansville following a long illness.

The body was removed to Grayville where funeral services will be held Friday afternoon.

Surviving besides the husband are a son, Herschel L. Bass of Vincennes, a brother, Harry Johnson of Chicago, and a half-sister Mrs. Gladys Urban of Evansville.

Dr. and Mrs. Bass were residents of Ft. Branch several years ago, and during his residence there Dr. Bass served as coroner of Gibson county.
