Carl M. Barry, 62, of Owensville died at 11:05 p.m. Thursday at Welborn Hospital, Evansville after suffering a heart attack.

Mr. Barry was born July 26, 1908 in Knox County.  He was a member of Owensville Masonic Lodge no. 364; Scottish Rite; Hadi Shrine, and the Elks club.  He was a member of Owensville General Baptist church.  Mr. Barry was a distributor in this area for 500 Platolene products until his retirement this year.

Surviving are his wife, Thelma of Route 1, Owensville; two daughters, Mrs Mary Beth Ping, of Freeport, Ill; and Mrs. Deloris Steiner of Owensville; one brother, Loren Barry of Lavonia Mich; three sisters, Mrs Ellen Coglan of Bicknell, Ind., Mrs Mae Harper of Brucevill, Ind., and Mrs. Blanche Berry of Matoon, Ill., eight grandchildren and one great grandchild.

Services will be held Sunday at 2 p.m. at Holder Funeral Chapel with burial in Owensville Cemetery, Rev. John Sloan will officiate.

Friends may call after 2 pm. Saturday at the funeral home.
