He was purchasing agent for Enos coal
Co., for 36 years; was a member of the Oakland City Town Board of Trustees from
1910 through 1943; a member of Oakland City masonic
Lodge No. 467; member of First Methodist Church; secretary and member of the
board of directors of the Oakland City-Columbia Township School Holding co.,
Inc. since 1954; was editor of the Enos Echo, a
company magazine, and wrote a column entitled "Humanistic" for the
Pike County Dispatch; taught a Sunday school class for a number of years, and
was manager of the Enos basketball team.
Survivors are the widow, Janet; a daughter, Becky, and a son,
Randy, both at home; his mother, Mrs. Mollie Corn of
The body is at Lamb Funeral Home pending completion of
arrangements. Friends may call at the funeral home after
