MARTIN C BARRETT

OAKLAND CITY - Nov 14, 1940

Martin C. Barrett, Sr., age 72 brother of Mrs. Dora Gardner and John Barrett, both of Oakland City, died at his home 1330 North Fulton Avenue, Wednesday (13 Nov 1940) afternoon after a lingering illness.

Funeral service will be held at 1:30 o'clock Friday afternoon at the residence conducted by the Pilgrim Holiness church and the continued services at 3 o'clock at Mt. Zion Church at Reed, Ky.  Burial will be in the adjoining cemetery.

Surviving besides the brother and sister living here are the wife Fannie; two daughters, Mrs. W.R. Smithhart and Mrs. Mary Eddemmson, Evansville, three sons, Martin C.Jr., Isaac and Calvin all of Evansville; two other sisters, Mrs. Lucy Beetles, Petersburg and Mrs. Mary L. Brack, Evansville;; another brother Daniel of Bluff City, Ky 12 grand children and one great great great granddaughter.
