BUCKSKIN Oct 15, (Special) Benjamin Baker, 73, farmer, rural route 4, Upper Mt. Vernon Road and brother of Antone Baker, of Buckskin, died Monday (14 Oct 1940) morning at St. Mary's hospital in Evansville where he had been a patient since Sept 30.

Surviving besides the son are wife, Sophia; one son, Oscar, Indianapolis; two daughters, Mrs. Gertrude Deffendahl, Evansville, and Mrs Estelle Schnee, Cleveland Ohio; two sisters, Mrs Mary Nellis and Mrs. Anna Nellis, Evansville; four other brothers, Jacob and John, Evansville, and Joseph and William, Mecca, Ind; seven grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 2:30 o'clock Wednesday afternoon at the Johann Memorial Temple.  Rev. Walter C. Brauer, Trinity Lutheran church, officiating. Burial in Lutheran cemetery.
