Mr. Bailey, whose health had deteriorated during the last year following major
surgery, died at

The deceased's wife, nee Loyette Stallings, Also a
representative of a prominent, pioneer Posey family died in 1949.
Nearest survivors of the late deceased are two sons, Glen S. New Harmony, and
Gerald, Indianapolis; 11 grandchildren and one great-grandchild, and two
brothers, John A. Bailey, 88, Mt. Vernon and Thomas H. Bailey, 84, Riverside,
Calif. A son, J. J. Bailey, was an auto accident fatality on Ind 69 in 1938.
Parents of the late deceased were James J. Bailey, who served Posey county as a Democratic commissioner, and Sarah J. DeFur Bailey. They were the parents of three sons and
two daughters who reached adulthood. Mrs. Ida Bailey Schnee,
Lawrence W. Bailey was one of Posey county's oldest Masons. He had been a
Master Mason of Arctic lodge of
