Mrs. Colette (Straub) Austin, 27, of 123 Ryan Lane, Evansville, died at 10:49 p.m. Thursday (6 Jun 1985) at Barnes Hospital in St. Louis after a long illness.   

For six years, she was a chemist at Mead Johnson and Co.

A lifelong resident of Evansville, she was a 1975 graduate of Central High School and a 1979 graduate of the University of Evansville.

She was a member of Corpus Christi Catholic Church, American Chemical Society, a former youth director at St. Joseph Catholic Church in the county.

Surviving are her husband, michael; her parents, Robert and Darlene Straub; two brothers, Darrel and Brian Straub, and a sister, Mrs. Sheila Seib, all of Evansville; and her grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Anthony C. Elpers of Poseyville, Ind.
