MT VERNON -  Mrs. Christine E Aikman, 65, formerly of Mt. Vernon, died at 8 a.m. Monday (30 Aug 1982) at Medical Center Hospital in Odessa, Texas.

Surviving are her husband, Charles W.; a daughter, Mrs. Shirley Blank of Warren, Ohio; five sisters, Mrs. Marcelle Best of Mt. Vernon, Mrs. George Schweikhart of Poseyville, and Mrs. Katherine Duncan, Mrs. Nancy Backus and Mrs. Martha Bayer, all of Mt. Vernon; a brother, Henry Jeffries of Mt. Vernon; three grandchildren and one great grandchild.

Funeral services will be 2 p.m. today (Thursday) at Tygart Funeral Home with burial in Bellefontaine Cemetery.
