Robert Leo Reynolds, Sr., 86, formerly of Cynthiana,
Indiana, born to Curtis and Fannie (Snow) Reynolds on June 10, 1927, in
Cynthiana, Indiana where he had lived all his life, passed away Tuesday,
December 31, 2013, at VNA Charlier Hospice Center in
Evansville, Indiana.
He was an MP in the Army, worked as a Truck Driver, Cynthiana Town Marshall,
Deputy Sheriff for Posey County, Volunteer Fire Fighter, Water Department,
County Garage and Salvage Yard & Wrecker Service. He loved to help everyone
he came in contact with and every type of animal. To meet him was to respect
and love him. He also loved to square dance, fish and tinker in the garage.
Surviving are his 2 sons: Darwin Graper of Haubstadt,
Indiana and Robert “Bob” Reynolds, Jr. of Cynthiana, Indiana; 5 daughters:
Sandy Staley of Boonville, Indiana, Dixie Akers of Poseyville,
Indiana, Karen Burns of Cynthiana, Indiana, Jeannie “PJ” Hannah and Rita Stock
both of Evansville, Indiana; 24 grandchildren, 52 great grandchildren and 9
great great grandchildren.
Preceding him in death were his parents and wife: Avalon Reynolds in 2003.
Funeral services will be 10 a.m., Monday, January 6, 2014, at the Werry Funeral
Home in Poseyville, Indiana with burial Liberty
Cemetery in Cynthiana, Indiana.
Visitation will be from 2–7 p.m., Sunday, January 5, 2014 at the funeral home.
