Lyndell E. Hayes, 82, of Griffin, Indiana, born to Frank and Ara (Barnett) Hayes on January 30, 1931 in Griffin, Indiana, died Monday, January 13, 2014 at his residence in Griffin, Indiana.
He is survived by this daughter: Marcia Yestingsmeier, of Griffin, Indiana; his son: Jack Hayes of Griffin, Indiana; 2 grandsons: Andrew Scott and Jason Hayes; 2 granddaughters: Ashley and Kristen Ratcliff and 2 great grandchildren: Carter Happe and Oakley Stewart.
He is preceded in death by his parents; his wife: Janice (Biggs) Hayes and his sister: Lera Park.
Funeral services will be 2 p.m., Thursday, January 16, 2014 at the Werry Funeral Home in New Harmony, Indiana, with burial in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery near Griffin, Indiana where Owen Dunn American Legion Post 5 will have military graveside services.
Visitation will be 4-7 p.m., Wednesday, January 15, 2014 at the funeral home.
