Dorothy M. Bender, 87, of Owensville, Indiana, born to William A. and Flora O. (Schweikhard) Keil on May 31, 1926, in Cynthiana, Indiana, passed away Saturday, January 18, 2014, at River Oaks Health Campus in Princeton, Indiana.
She graduated from Cynthiana High School in 1944 and had worked the grain elevator in Nesbit, Indiana. She was a member of St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church; the St. Francis Ladies Club and Homemakers Extension Club.
Surviving her are several nieces and nephews.
Preceding her in death were her parents; husband: Bernard Joseph Bender and a brother: Raymond W. Keil.
Funeral services will be 10 a.m., Tuesday, January 21, 2014, at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church in Poseyville, Indiana with burial in the church cemetery. Father Ed Schnur officiating.
Visitation will be from 3–8 p.m., Monday, January 20, 2014, at the Werry Funeral Home in Poseyville, Indiana with a Rosary/Memorial service at 7:30 p.m.
