Peggy A. Shelton, age 46 of Mt. Vernon, died Tuesday evening October 22, 2013 at Deaconess Hospital in Evansville.

She was born June 13, 1967 in Russellville, KY the daughter of Harold and Peggy (Shelton) Wright, Sr.

She married Henry Shelton on October 29, 1984 at Evansville.

Peggy worked as a caregiver in a group home setting. She loved spending time with her grandchildren and family.

She is survived by her husband, Henry; 2 sons, Ryan Shelton and Brandon (Ashley) Shelton; her mother, Peggy Wright; 3 grandchildren, Preston, Braxton and Kaylee Shelton; 2 brothers, Harold Wright, Jr. and Richard and Stephanie Wright; her mother-in-law, Elaine King and in-laws, Gary and Sue Shelton. She was preceded in death by her father, Harold Wright, Sr. and her father-in-law, David Shelton.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday October 26, 2013 at the Stendeback Family Funeral Home at 1330 E. 4th St., Mt. Vernon with burial in Laurel Hill Cemetery near Wadesville. Visitation will be from 4-7 p.m. on Friday at the funeral home.
