Walter
“Allen” Muehlbauer, 45, born to Walter H. and Nancy
A. (Tucker) Muehlbauer on July 11, 1968 in
Evansville, Indiana, passed away Thursday, September 19, 2013 at the VNA
Hospice Center in Evansville, Indiana, following a brief illness.
Allen was a
1986 graduate of New Harmony High School. He also attended Vincennes University
and the University of Southern Indiana. During that time, he won the regional
Golden Gloves title. He also attended Music Tech School in Minneapolis,
Minnesota and graduated with certificates in guitar and vocal music.
Allen served
in the United States Army from 1987 until 1990 and was proud of competing on
the All Service Boxing Team. After he returned home, he worked as a dealer of
Casino Aztar in Evansville. Later, he worked in security at the University of Louisville Hospital in Louisville, Kentucky and the
Wabash Valley Correctional Facility in Terre Haute, Indiana.
He is
survived by his mother: Nancy; sister: Ann Hefner; brother-in-law: Michael
Hefner and a nephew: Thomas Allen Gillihan.
A memorial
service will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, October 26, 2013 at Mt. Pleasant
Cemetery in Griffin, Indiana.
The family
will greet family and friends at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery from 10 a.m. until
service time.
