Stella L. McIntire, 82, of
Griffin, Indiana, born to M.T. and Dorothy (Lamb) Winebarger
on October 1, 1930, in Wadesville, Indiana, passed away Friday, August 30,
2013, at Deaconess Gateway Hospital in Newburgh, Indiana.
She graduated in 1948 from New
Harmony High School, Lockyear Business College of
Evansville, working several places as a Bookkeeper and helping with their
farming operation. Stella was a member of the Griffin Christian Church where
she taught Sunday school for many years. She and Russell loved to travel to
Florida in their travel trailer and she was Activity Director at Ridgecrest in
Leesburg, Florida for a time.
Surviving are her husband of 61
years: Russell Junior McIntire; 2 daughters: Carol A. (Earl) Schnell of
Newburgh, Indiana and Marcia J. (Nick) Jones of Griffin, Indiana; sister: Janet
Gross of Mt. Vernon, Indiana; brother: Bill (Jeraldine)
Winebarger of New Harmony, Indiana; grandchildren:
Stacy, Stephanie, Derrick, Jeremy, Kevin, Alisha and Keshia
and numerous great grandchildren.
Preceding her in death were her
parents; 3 sisters: Betty Beste, Bonnie Dean, Linda
Hendrix and 3 brothers: Forrest, Taylor and Robert Winebarger.
Funeral services will be 10:00
a.m., Tuesday, September 3, 2013, at the Werry
Funeral Home in New Harmony, Indiana with burial in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery near
Griffin, Indiana.
Visitation will be from 4–8p.m., Monday,
September 2, 2013, at the funeral home.
