Leonard L. Kuhn, 80, passed away on
August 9, 2013 at the Charlier Hospice Center in
Evansville, IN.
He was born January 15, 1933 the son
of Joseph and Janie (Erwin) Kuhn.
He was a member of St. Mathew
Church. He served in the United States Army for two years – stationed in
Salzburg, Austria. He was employed at the Mt. Vernon Fire Department serving
twenty-three and a half years. After retiring he was a self-employed
electrician.
He is survived by his wife of 60
years, Una (Weatherford) Kuhn; son Michael (Leesa) Kuhn; daughter Joni (Chris) Hargett;
six grandchildren, Justin Kuhn of Evansville, Joey Hargett
of Mt. Vernon, and Mitchell Kuhn of Poseyville; Josh
Ricker of Poseyville, Leslie and Tyler Ricker of St.
Louis; brother Paul (Betty) Kuhn of Evansville.
He was preceded in death by his
parents; half sister Octavia Mann; brother John Kuhn;
three half brothers, Alfred “Hap” Wilson and Charlie
Wilson, and Joseph “Bud” Kuhn Jr.
Funeral service will be held at
11:00 am Tuesday, August 13, 2013 at Schneider Funeral Home 512 Main St in Mt.
Vernon with burial to follow at Bellefontaine Cemetery
Visitation will be held from 3:00 pm
to 7:00 pm Monday at the funeral home.
He will be truly missed by family,
friends, and especially at closing time at Bud’s Hardware.
